Redline’s Round Six competitors graced the tarmac at Rosamond’s Willow Springs Raceway over the July 4th weekend.
Coincidently (or not…) Just Drift had a drift event over the same two days at The Streets of Willow. And, of course the Illustrious Larry Chen from driftfotos.com was there to cover the event!
THEN, there was a rather impressive fireworks display just over the big track on the evening of the 3rd. I found this interesting in that there is nothing but dry brush around the infield of Willow’s big track, plus there was incredibly strong gale force breezes blowing through the hills the entire day. Apparently none of these were ever a big concern for fire marshals!
When at Willow, I’m used to shooting the bikes which have nearly twice the corner speed of these four-wheeled variations. It wasn’t exactly boring, but it wasn’t exactly faring-to-faring racing like I’m used to, either.
People have been bugging me for the shots, so let’s get right to ‘em.
