LONG BEACH, CA-  Hard times or not, there were plenty of people at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center.  And why not, every major manufacturer had their latest rides on display for people to get touchy-feely with.

I would have to say that Ducati did a remarkable job at getting people into their booth, and keeping them there with plenty of tightly-clothed women and GQ-esq men in fashionable runway attire.  Their booth even had an espresso bar complete with a “Triple-B” (busty blonde barista).  Sorry, for me there is no replacement for Peet’s… Triple-B or not.

Just being there today reminded me of the time I first realized that my father once was a motorcycle gearhead himself, building a ground-up custom cafe racer two-stroke back in the late 60′s which won an award at the International Motorcycle Show back then.  Maybe that’s who I got the building bug from, hmm?

Anyway… let your eyes feast upon the sights…
