Buttonwillow, CA-  Adjacent to a freeway in the seemingly middle of nowhere lies Buttonwillow Raceway.  Thank goodness for GPS, is all I can say!

I’m still a bit new at the whole “time trial” thing.  I understand the concept, but do not understand how so many people can afford to actually build cars to participate in such events.  I love how it has this grassroots feel to it, but just can’t get past the whole money issue!  Lots of teams were at this event, and even some drift teams made it out with their cars in appropriate configuration.  The weather was perfect for racing, although it did get overcast quickly in the afternoon as the sun fell.

I was expecting to be able to get out on the track to cover some footage from outlying areas, but the guy who said he could make this happen never was to be found.  Its ok, I feel I still got some good shots from where I was able to post up.
