Kim and Steve Masoner’s “Save Our Beach” teamed up with “Just Spotted” and “This Is Me-A Kid’s First Keepsake Journal” for a fun-filled few hours at the North Jetty of Seal Beach, as kids from all over surrounding areas hit the sand with parents to help pick up litter and waste from the beachhead.  Conditions at Seal could not have been more ideal!

It was great seeing how enthusiastic and truly stoked these groms were in helping to keep the beach litter-free.  They also got informative demonstrations as to why it is important for them to not litter in their surroundings, to practice recycling, and be mindful of the ecology.

Kim Masoner was even interviewed by CBS2 News (update with a link to the clip to follow…)

Just for showing up, kids 12 and under received a free meal coupon from Ruby’s at the pier!  Those older than 12 got a coupon for a free slice of pizza from Seal Beach’s ZPizza on Main Street!  Adults participating got a “BOGO” dinner voucher from Finbars!!  Of course, everyone who participated received their dose of free good karma, which was enough to get stoked on!

Enough yakkity-yak… here are the sights from the day:
