The 2009 IJSBA World Finals are right around the corner. Date-wise, not locale-wise… unless you live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The boys (and two girls) out at the Belmont Shores PWC practice group were really ripping it up Sunday, testing their rides and preparing their minds for finals action.
The most noted rider in the lineup (can you call a field of watercraft riders a ‘lineup’??) is Aaron Sanchez, who had this to say via his facebook page on September 6, 2009:
“Just got home from the APBA National Finals in Nashville, TN. Next year I will have a fat #1 on the side of my ski = 2009 Amateur Ski Open National Highpoints Champion. I also managed a 2nd place in Veterans Ski Open National Highpoints. Thank you so much to every single one of my friends who have cheered me on for this long, incredible year of racing. Team ASAP rules!”
Super sweet, Aaron!! Then of course there’s Minoru and Emi Kanamori of Team Kawasaki… whoo, you wanna see silky smoothness at lightning fast speeds, Emi handles her “boat” with such a combination of grace and prowess that she can slip between a rider and a turn buoy if they’re not paying attention. Its an amazing sight to see!
Ok, ok… enough yack, here’s the shots of the day:
